Our Fabrics & Materials
Every garment in our collection is made from 100% Cotton โ chosen for its breathability, durability, and authentic connection to African textile traditions. Our signature fabrics include:
- Ankara (African Wax Print Cotton) โ bold, geometric, and culturally rooted patterns used across our kaftan and dress styles.
- Cotton Lace โ beautifully patterned and ideal for formal and celebratory occasions.
- Aso-Oke โ a hand-loomed Nigerian prestige fabric woven into select kaftan designs for elevated ceremonial wear.
Our jewelry pieces are crafted from Copper and finished with 24K Gold Plating or inspired by natural shell motifs โ designed to complement the warmth and richness of our apparel.
Craftsmanship
Each piece reflects intentional construction. Our kaftans and dresses feature hand-applied details including embroidery, hand-beading, and glittering stone embellishments โ techniques that honor the artisanal heritage of West African fashion. Silhouettes range from relaxed batwing-sleeve boubous with flowy maxi lengths to structured kaftan cuts designed for all occasions.
Sourcing & Authenticity
Our apparel is built on authentic African textile traditions. Ankara and Aso-Oke fabrics are rooted in West African craft heritage, and we select patterns and constructions that reflect genuine cultural aesthetics rather than approximations of them. Each outfit is carefully handmade by us.
The Founder's Vision
Bukky Adegbite popularly called Yeye Oge by close friends, has her root from Western Africa. Her love for African fashion, aesthetic and culture inspired her to curate this collection for the diaspora community.
